I speak in parables, as sweet Jesus did
His words were world changing, mine far more glib
Thoughts like pinballs careen in this skull of mine
I too long to change the world, make it more sublime

Romans silenced Him, crucifixion was His lot
Flesh paid the price for words from His epiglot
There are words men die for in this crazy world
True strength shown through tolerance ad absurd

Words have high merit, yet no man speaks The Truth
Each of us mired in falsehoods beyond proof
Pray do not misconstrue, no Nihilist am I
Strength is found in thought exchange, not battle cries

Who calls us to silence voices of dissent?
Cowardly blasphemers know they’re heaven sent.
