Though they wed before The Cross Bacchus was close by
Love expressed as sacrament- Priest led sacred vows
Promised love eternally not just here and now
Intoxicating lovers- congregation high

Son shone down from above on gentle morn in May
Attendants lined the altar, homage to their love
Palpable sweet loving that freely flowed that day
Christ’s spirit kissed my cheek as gentle cooing dove

Service quite lovely, bacchanalia followed suit
Loved in awestruck wonder as spirit engulfed me
Frolicked in thralls of love with partner absolute
Great chains of matrimony that set me quite free

Gained a daughter yesterday as she wed my son
Shared His great gift and sang with them a song of love
