Little by little I crawl toward my goal
Tall mountain to scale, beauty to behold
Constant nose to grindstone makes life hellhole
Cast wonder on waters, payback’s fivefold

Smelling the flowers and kissing the girls
Better past time than working morning through night
Many great wonders set brain in a whirl
Look over horizon, head to the light

We need to find pleasure throughout the day
What glory in living if work never stops?
Reach for brass ring but take time for child’s play
Too many folks spend life licking their chops

Life is a song and we sing the chorus
Survival’s not living if it’s soulless.
