Pat at a Dominican Republic beach

Said you’d be by my side, yet I’m alone
Waters dark and murky, slither in deep
Plans made together have been overthrown
Great promises I heard, not meant to keep?

Course laid at me feet has been swept away
Costly cost savings have me feeling black
Simple play date held loneliness at bay
Long for sweet touch, reassurance I lack

Feeling gray though Sol shines sweetly above
Blue that frolic’s easily sacrificed
Long for sweet tumbling with eternal love
Neglected sweetness can be necrotized

Two alone too often I say to you
Melancholy calling, has me quite blue
