On this great globe filled with fortune and fame,
Where do we stand on losses and gains?
Lifetime spent making pile get bigger,
Some earn great wealth, others just chiselers.

Scams all around, folks long to bleed you dry,
Gets to a point where honest values die.
Promises made that are meant to deceive,
Cutthroats stab in the back and watch you bleed.

Con men get rich quick off of me and you,
Caveat emptor goes for seller too.
“In God we trust,” but all others pay cash;
If too trusting might get bit in the ass.

Saying goes you can’t con an honest man?
So many ways to get caught in a scam.
