Wind that’s blowing howls like a hurricane,
Torrential downpour bringing drops of change.
Ferocious gale pummels, pray I don’t crack,
Need to find shelter before next attack.

No profit in worry I tell myself,
Wish I could leave anxious thoughts on a shelf.
Sliver of blue peeking through clouds of gray,
Eye of the storm or new glorious day?

Survey damage, suture deep ugly wounds,
Typhoon tempest season started in June.
Batten down hatches, prepare for more storms,
Fear and anxiety is the new norm.

Prepare for the worst but hope for the best,
With help from above I may pass this test.
