Never ending chant from the almost dead,
Apocalyptic warnings filled with dread.
Fear filled driven lives that can not embrace
Wondrous Earth seasoned with adventure’s taste.

Chanting, “Don’t do this, be afraid of that!”
No life in living when governed by scat!
Choose to climb a mountain or fear the fall;
Short time on Earth ‘fore maggots in us crawl.

Darkest night precedes blessed light of dawn
In life’s chessboard knights outnumbered by pawns.
Among my goals to live long healthy life,
Terror of own shadow too dear a price.

No man is he who merely runs and hides,
Humans overcome fears and live with pride.
