Her sacred trust revoked by boy without a spine;
It was the best of lines, it was the worst of lines.
The words sounded clever, the audience guffawed
But your mouth was drooping as you stood there slack jawed.
Stories entrusted that you shared from your heart
I ruthlessly splattered to create comic art.
No mere mea culpa ever hope to replace
Look of betrayal my words left on your dear face.
So glibly delivered thoughtless life shaking blow;
Years slipped far away now and I’ve tried hard to grow.
Hen pecking alpha roosters who strut and perform
Reek of insecurity, we gutless infirmed.
Hope when you think of me at least a small warm glow?
But since I cast you out, I guess I’ll never know.
