Hush little Deplorables put your muskets away
And Killary’s minions let’s call it a day
When we wake tomorrow election’ll be won
Fought one civil war don’t need another one

The system is rigged but not like Trump said
Rich man pouting about unfairness tumbles logic on its head
Takes clout and money to get in the ring
Current delegate system makes both parties sing

Many Trumpeters so tired of their lot
In bombastic furry scream, “Throw out the lot!”
Clinton is status quo, there’s no denying that
Nosectomy to spite our face is path of spoiled brats

If Trump gets in the White House then ugly chaos will surely rule
But Clinton as alternative is nourish-less thin gruel
Peaceful transition of power is America’s great strength
Conspiracy theorists go to any length

To make us tremble and pluck out our hair
(Our solid corps of citizens will keep election fair)
All the stupid rhetoric about an election that’s been fixed
Is geared for consumption by ignorant, foolish hicks

Sure ain’t saying life is perfect, ain’t saying process don’t need tweeks
What I’m saying is it’s okay tonight to close your eyes and sleep!
Because on Wednesday morning when you rise up from your bed
Whether we’ve elected elephant or donkey we’ll just forge on ahead

So inhale very deeply and look to our grass roots
And pray that 2020 brings two choice with better attributes
Hush little Trumpeters and close your eyes
We all know that it’s Hillary you love so to despise

This election cycle was ugliest I have ever seen
Hatred of status quo puts fat target on HRC.
Still, it takes more than nasty name calling
to service huddled masses all longing to be free

So, just for this evening, just for tonight
Let’s all stop pointing fingers and turn off the light
When we wake tomorrow we can rejoin the affray
But for now, fellow citizens, let’s just call it a day
clintons-and-trumps
