Love lifts us up, love tears us down,
love is a force that’s most profound.
It can transform, bring to new heights;
not just carnal are love’s delights.
A heart of stone sweet love may move,
love spreads a light as sun in June,
illuminates and lets us see
how souls combine with true beauty.
Love does not mask faults of dear hearts,
but loving eyes beauty imparts.
A major flaw with love is seen
as mere foible; tasks not serene.
No cross to bear is lover’s weight,
to great labors not hesitates:
For there’s no task so great that love
does not lighten in pursuit of.
Panacea love may not be
but love’s a force most heavenly.
Love has power world to transform,
make opened arms the Earth’s new norm.
The fear we’ve learned from crib to now
love lights the way to disavow.
So, pray, let’s look through love’s rose veil
and be the love wish to prevail.
