Did you hear the one about the Austin, Texas African American transgal who fell asleep drunk in their own bed who was awakened in the wee hours by who they thought was their partner but it turned out to be their drunk-as-a-skunk, horny as hell, pale as a Klan sheet, radical right, God fearing, abortion hating, Trump loving neighbor who thought she was slipping into her own bed and wanted to do the nasty?!
OMG! Neither one knew, as transgal figured it was their partner and they were willing, ready and quickly up for the task. Transgal don’t wear that wig at night and unbeknownst to either they did the humpty-hump with “other” and the next day when they awoke together and spied one another they were aghast! Aghast, disgusted and each thoroughly mistrusted the other’s unlikely tale, but both agreed to never speak of the incident and to go their separate- but equal!- ways.
It was a plan, but a month later Trumpy McWhitie wasn’t seeing the red that was her monthly due and then another month passed without her needed niddah which made Miss Trumpy -her real name’s Marjorie by-the-by- awfully grumpy as she feared together they’d created baby lumpy.
Really put the Christ in crisis for Miss Marjorie.
What’s a girl to do? Abandon her principles, call it rape and abort? Ask transgal -BTW, their name is Atlantius but do not shame yourself by asking them their dead name- about child support?
Quandary with a capital Q-Anon!
Another month passed and Marjorie knew she was at a crossroads. Though Marjorie was not good at math she did know that she was well past the six week abortion window that Texas law allowed and that her options were few. In the end, she followed the advice of that great sage Bruce Hornsby and went to her sister’s, but just as in that rangy song “Everybody noticed she was gone awhile. Somebody said she’s gone to her sister’s, but everybody knew what they were talking about.”
It was a scandal to rock The Lone Star but only Miss Marjorie knew the whole tale and after a time of being lost in the wilderness coincidentally equal to one-fifty-second that of Moses’ wandering in the desert, she too was delivered to the promised land!
Marjorie wanted nothing to do with her devil spawn and, having done her Christian duty and delivered the miscegenetic monster, she left her misbegotten mistake behind, returned to Austin and resumed her life as it had been before.
And the baby you ask?
Well it was a baby and therefor beautiful of course. Marjorie and Atlantius produced an incredible example of tabula rosa, a living, breathing, sacred example of John Locke’s blank slate human. Perfect? Well that would be absurd, but certainly the baby was what all babies are, a new chance, a new beginning freshly arrived in need of love, care and nurturing and possessing the ability to become a loving, caring life and “other” embracing nurturer.
What path would the baby follow? What welcome would the child receive and would the child live in a world where all humans are seen as worthy of love, respect, hope and nurturing? Time will tell.
Here’s a link to my reading of the story!
